How to Enter BIOS

Entering BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) is necessary when you want to make changes to your computer’s hardware settings or check system information. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to enter BIOS.

  1. Shut down your computer: Make sure your computer is completely turned off before proceeding.

  2. Turn on your computer: Press the power button to turn on your computer.

  3. Repeatedly tap the BIOS key: As soon as you see the manufacturer’s logo or any initial startup screen, start tapping the BIOS key on your keyboard repeatedly. The BIOS key varies depending on the computer manufacturer, but commonly used ones are F2, F8, F10, Del, or Esc. If you’re unsure about the BIOS key for your specific computer, refer to the user manual or the manufacturer’s website.

  4. Access the BIOS menu: Tapping the BIOS key will take you to the BIOS menu. The BIOS interface may vary depending on the computer manufacturer. You can navigate through the BIOS menus using the arrow keys on your keyboard.

  5. Make the necessary changes: Once you’re inside the BIOS menu, you can change various settings such as boot order, enable/disable hardware components, adjust system clock, etc. Be cautious while making changes and ensure that you know what you are doing to avoid any unwanted issues.

  6. Exit BIOS: After making the desired changes, navigate to the “Exit” tab or section in the BIOS menu. Choose the option to “Exit Saving Changes” or similar phrasing.

  7. Restart your computer: Your computer will now restart with the changes you made in the BIOS.

Remember, accessing the BIOS can be different for different computers, so it’s important to check the user manual or manufacturer’s website for specific instructions if the above steps don’t work.
